Insurance Agent

An Insurance Agent is a licensed professional who sells and services insurance policies on behalf of insurance companies. Agents act as intermediaries between the insurance company and the policyholder, helping clients choose the right insurance products to meet their needs and providing ongoing support throughout the policy term.

There are two main types of insurance agents: captive agents and independent agents. Captive agents represent a single insurance company and sell only the policies offered by that insurer. They have in-depth knowledge of their company’s products and can provide specialized assistance to clients seeking coverage from that particular insurer. Independent agents, on the other hand, represent multiple insurance companies and can offer a wider range of insurance products. This allows them to compare policies from different insurers and provide clients with options that best fit their needs and budget.
